About the Mandate
The client is a global FinTech and investment management software company with a Manila-based delivery center servicing major institutional clients across 30+ countries. The Senior Category Manager will develop category management strategy, enhance procurement functionality for IT software and professional services, and lead savings and optimization initiatives across the organization.
What the Role Involves
This is a senior individual contributor role responsible for category strategy development, vendor negotiations, SaaS contract renewal, and IT Software Asset Management (SAM). The role works closely with legal, finance, and technology teams to ensure effective vendor management, identify cost optimization opportunities, and lead strategic procurement projects across the global organization from the Manila hub.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in category management, strategic sourcing, or procurement, specifically within IT or professional services categories.
- Hands-on experience with SaaS contract renewals, IT Software Asset Management, and enterprise vendor negotiations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple procurement initiatives concurrently across global stakeholder groups.
- Experience in a multinational financial technology or professional services firm preferred.
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen; comfortable presenting to senior leadership
